Dennis E. Mcclain

Dennis E. McClain, 60, of Fawn Township, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at his home. He was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late James and Esther Snyder McClain. Dennis was a veteran of the Air Force. He worked as an operator at P.G.W. in Creighton for eight years and prior to that worked for Eddie Mack Jr. Contracting in Natrona for more than 20 years. Dennis enjoyed fishing, golfing, working on his motorcycle, cooking, visiting and collecting lighthouses and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He is survived by his loving partner and best friend of 27 years, Mala Davis; his children, Courtney McClain Timura (Michael Potts), of Natrona, Angela Davis (Larry Simmons), of Brackenridge, and Dennis McClain, of Fawn Township; grandchildren, Dorian and Morgan Turner; brothers, Greg (Maryann) McClain, of New Bethlehem, and Bryan (Marilyn) McClain, of Tarentum; sisters, Portia (Melvin) Galdoni, of Saxonburg, Kathy (Jeff) Slimick, of Ford City, Susan (Frank) Paz, of Natrona Heights, and Jennie (Tom) Small, of Valparaiso, Ind. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James McClain.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Trenga. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
