In loving memory of Brian C. Welsh, Sr. who was called into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, August 7,
2021. Brian was born on September 12, 1964 and was a 1982 graduate of Highlands High School where
he excelled in football and track and field. He was employed as a driver/trainer at Air Products in Creighton, PA.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Laura. They were married for 32 years but had been together since
1982. He leaves behind his adoring children Haley (Nathan) Connolly of Natrona Heights PA and Brian
(Marissa) Jr. of Sarver, PA. He is also survived by his siblings, Kevin (Mary Beth) Welsh, Jack (Jennifer)
Welsh, Shelly (Chris) Murdock, Julie (Phil) Klemens, Mary Kay (Denny) Heinle and Patty Welsh. He has
many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. His cat, Mitt, will surely miss him as well as his two
grand dogs, Murphy and Magnus.
Brian was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan as well as an avid star gazer. He dabbled in Astronomy and was in
tune with the moon and stars. He was a true outdoorsman. He loved to travel with his family and
visited many places through Central America and the Caribbean, as well as many weekend trips with
family and friends. He enjoyed spending time at his camp at Conneaut Lake in the summertime. He
always liked big dogs. He raised two rottweilers, Angus and Zoey.
Brian was a gentle soul who was loved, respected, and looked up to by all who had the pleasure of
knowing him. Brian had many friends and would light up the room with his boisterous laugh and easy
going personality. He loved to sing and could carry a tune with the best.
He was an avid member of St. Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Freeport, PA. He was also a member of
the Polish National Alliance in Natrona, PA.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Welsh, and mother, Adele Welsh.
Brian lived a full and spiritual life. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek
Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be
held on Friday at 11:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. in St. Mary, Mother of God Church
with his pastor the Rev. Msgr. Gilbert Gente as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Freeport. To send
