Betty Ann (Baczynski) Szymkowiak

Betty Ann (Baczynski) Szymkowiak, 86, of Natrona, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016. She was born December 23, 1930, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of the late Michael and Regina Kaminski Baczynski. Betty was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Parish, St. Ladislaus Church in Natrona. She was also a member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, former C.D. of A. in Natrona and the Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity at St. Joseph Parish. Betty enjoyed reading, baking, making rosaries, shopping, going to camp in Tionesta and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Sylvia (Edmund) Nowikowski, of Natrona Heights, Fred (Sandra) Myers, of Natrona Heights and Jerry (Darlene) Szymkowiak of Allegheny Township; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Dante) Moretti, Eric Szymkowiak (Dawn), Christopher (Richelle) Kelly , Amanda (Chris) Bahney and Brian Szymkowiak; by her great grandchildren, Brooke, Gunner, Sydney, Colton and Mitchell Szymkowiak, Samantha, Madison and Tyler Moretti and Tristian & Cruz Kelly and by a great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Szymkowiak on January 11, 1981; brother, Michael Baczynski and by her sister, Rose Marie Litwicki.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in St. Ladislaus Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
