Andrew Kraynick

Andrew 'Andy' Kraynick, 82, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at his home. He was born August 19, 1935, in Creighton to the late Andrew and Margaret Lesko Kraynick. Andy was a 1953 graduate of Har-Brack High School and a veteran of the US Army. He retired in 1992 after 40 years of service from PPG. Andy was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and was a former president of the Jednota Club in Tarentum.. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp in McKean County, watching western and war movies on TV, working crossword puzzles, watching golf and the Steelers and he especially enjoyed watching his granddaughters play softball. Andy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores 'Dee' Truckley Kraynick; son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Jackie Kraynick, of Greensburg; twin granddaughters, Madison and Hayden Kraynick; his granddog, Milo: sister, Rose Zandarski, of Columbia, SC.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his friends, J.R. and Renee Zrebny, Samantha and Tyler, Chuck Dizard, Marilyn Pesci, Pat Coffman and Bob and Nancy Haines.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 and on Friday from 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Aaron Kriss as celebrant. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Andy may be made to St. Jude Hospital at Stjude.org. A parish vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 1:45 PM.
