Alice Kathleen Macik

Alice Kathleen "Kathy" (Cummings) Macik, 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away with her family at her side on Monday, May 2, 2022. She was born July 19, 1941, in Vandergrift to the late George M. and Alice E. (McKinstry) Cummings. Kathy worked as a Certified Nurses Aid first at Allegheny Valley Hospital, then for Allegheny Home Health for 15 years and retired from Platinum Ridge after 10 years of service. As a CNA, Kathy touched the hearts of many patients and their families with her loving care. People would come up to her years and years later and remembered her and thanked her for all she did for their loved ones. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, watching Jeopardy and Law and Order and spending time with her daughter, granddaughter and great grandson. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Michelle K. Macik (Tom Hollenbaugh), of Gilpin Township; granddaughter, Alona M. (Josh) D'Ambrosio, of Plum; great grandson, Crew D'Ambrosio; nieces, Nicole Rivet and Mary Jane (Mark) Pella, nephew, Tim (Brandy) Harper; several great nieces and great nephews and by her good friend, Jean Wiskemann. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her son, Michael G. Macik and by her sisters, Jane Rivet and Judy Waechter.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Marvin Hill.
